About Me

Hi! My name is Salem Houali. I’m an Oracle database developer/administrator based in Montreal, Canada. I specialize in designing and optimizing applications written in PL/SQL and SQL. I’m particularly interested in database security, performance, and optimization. While my primary work involves administering and developing databases, my true passion is helping others get the most out of them. That’s why I dedicate a lot of time to writing articles and volunteering on technical Q&A forums.

Some of my articles have been featured on the Oracle forum: an alternative to Analysis Graphics – Oracle 12c Form.
I hold OCA, OCE, and OCP certifications in various areas and have been named an Oracle ACE Apprentice for January 2026. On this blog, I publish articles and code examples primarily focused on SQL and PL/SQL, but I also use related technologies.
